Can I move the brooder outside yet?

If it were 80 degrees outside today, at my house, I would leave the chicks inside and take MYSELF outside to sunbathe. (got up to 47 tho, so spring IS coming)

I spent the entire day outside and loved it!

Well here is my opinon..this is our second year growing peeps....so far all are fine.
We are in Florence.
After day 2 the peeps were allowed out in the yard to play.
They are in a mini run type area...fenced in.
We add a cardboard box so if they want to get out of weather
they can. Most often they don't unless it got windy.
They are out for 3-5 hours.
The only time we don't let them out is if it is raining or really windy. Then we let them
run in a small area of the garage. When in the garage we did have a light...but they shied away from it
most of the time.
Today we let them outside all day.
They are about 2 weeks old.

We did them the same way last year...and all are helathy and fine.
Tough old buzzards I say

They are outside right now with no light. I actually had turned the light off in the brooder box we had them in and they seemed happier. I think it may have been too warm for them. It's 83 outside right now and they are very happy little guys right now.

They are outside in their new brooder and loving all the room and fresh air!

Only one question...is it normal that they want to peek at and eat the pine shavings? Poof the duckling seems to be doing it the most...
