Can I put a fan in my chickens coop?

Recently it has been very hot 102 but can I put a fan on my chickens?

It has been very hot where I live to and I was thinking about putting a fan in my chickens run. I read up on it and it says its ok but im not sure how strong of a fan they can take.

Yes, you can. Just make sure that the chickens have an area in which they can get away from the fan's airflow if they get uncomfortable. You can also put some ice cubes in their water to help cool them off.

They are 12-13 weeks old

I did and it didn't help, I still lost 2 chickens the very next day to heat issues. They suggest putting the fan facing the outside so it's blowing OUT of the coop, not in. Does that make sense? Air blowing on chickens isn't very good, it's better sucking the air from inside and blowing it outside... lemme see if I can find a picture..

I have fans in all 4 of my coops ordered box fans from Walmart the chicken dust is hard on them but you get at least a summer out of them. The chickens just love it once they know your not going to kill them with the big new creepy thing.

No, I gave frozen fruits/veggies and then filled waterers with ice cubes. I had all doors and windows open trying to increase airflow.
