Can I put chicks in the sun?

Hi there. My chicks are in their first week. Do you think it would be okay to put them in the sun in the brooder? It will be around 80 in the sun..
At a week, they cannot regulate their temperatures so they would need some shade. I would recommend they just stay inside for a few more weeks to be safe.

Yes, at one week, they need to be in 90-95 degree heat at all time.
That's a good guide to go by, but they don't need that amount of heat all the time.
They do need 1 warm spot that is around 90-95F.

At 80F in the sun, chicks likely would be pretty warm and need shade, imho.

Yea and our newest never really liked the heat much. It was at like 80 in the box and they would be away from the light still.
