also what about a roster with the 2 month old chicks? im new to this.

I would not put a rooster with 2mo old chicks. I would keep him seperate till they are at least 6mo old. If you are planning on haveing mixed breeds it is ok to run different breeds in the same pen the rule of thumb for roosters is 1 roo per 10 hens.

If you are planning to have pure breeds then I would pen them seperately with the appropriate breed rooster.
