Hi!
I have 5, 5 week old bantams. They no longer require the heater inside anymore. My question is, how low of a temperature can they be comfortable in? I'm thinking of putting them out in their area of the coop for newbies, but am wondering if I should put the heater out there with them. I live in Lancaster county, PA. So right now it's still getting down in the 40's at night.
I have had chickens for several years but always put a heating lamp out with them in the coop. Now I'm a little more fire cautious so I have the heater they can go under and I can put that in the coop if I need to.
what are your thoughts on whether they will still need the heat at night please?
Thank you!
Jen
