I have most of a bottle of Panacur 10% oral suspension (designed for cats and dogs) and think I should worm our flock again. Is it effective to use this wormer in their drinking water and if so, can someone help me with the dosage please? I have used it to dose a sick chicken directly in the past but am not sure on how best to make a solution with it. We have 15 hens of varying sizes and weights.

Thank you.

OK, thanks @dawg53. Isn't putting wormer in water somewhat similar in that sense to how we put wormer in feed? As in some eat more, some less etc. I'm in the UK and the only licensed wormer here is Flubenvet (flubendazole) which goes in the feed for 7 days... that's what we usually use, but it's really awkward for those of us who have chickens roaming any kind of outside space as they can't also eat bugs and other things in that period.

I will worm test (faecal float) before doing anything anyhow but if you have any alternative suggestions, that would be great! Otherwise I guess they'll spend another week in the shed.
