Can I put this whole Hydrometer/thermometer in the incubator?

I bought this hydrometer to compare with what my incubator was reading and I am wondering if I can put the entire thing in, or if I can just put the probe. Thanks for any advice!

I agree with @raingarden , the best and cheapest for the money is an ACCURITE INDOOR THERMOMETER and HYGROMETER. Available at Wal-Mart, Amazon, and pet stores.
Once it's 'salt test' calibrated, they are reliable. Only thing is you can't calibrate the thermometer....but I only use them for an Rh sensor. Here's a link from Wally World. Don't know if it will fit in your bator, though?
