We have a broody hen who is wonderful, she has hatched and raised chicks for us before.. I am getting 6 turkey day old chicks in a few days and was wondering if I could sneak them under her? I have also heard that if you do turkeys you should put chicken chicks with them to "teach " them to eat/ drink etc .. Advice would be welcome! Thanks!

Quote:Yes, she should take them. She will teach them how to eat and drink, but remember, turkey poults need a little more over seeing when raised in a brooder so just keep an eye on them in case they aren't listening to Momma.
