Can I reuse the same hypo-needle on the same bird day after day if I need to do multiple injections, or should I use a new one each time.

KJ Theodore would say, 'new one each time'

anyone done multiple uses with success??

Doing Tylan 50...........

Be aware that if you chose to boil them, they'll become significantly duller which will make the injection more difficult. It's really best to use a new one.

you should use a new one daily.

Yup, at LEAST do your darnedest to thoroughly disinfect the needle (as soon as it gets blood etc in/on it, bacteria can grow, which you do not want to then be injecting)... and really it works best with a fresh needle. You might not THINK that skin would dull a needle, but I can tell you from doing twice-daily subQ hydration injections on a cat some years ago, it really does, go figure.

Good luck,

Pat

You can reuse them if you clean them right away and then disinfect them with either alcohol or some other anti-bacterial product. They will dull with use but, you can usually use them for a while first.

Thanks all.

Only fresh ones for me, then (or them, I should say)

Marlin Chaser, I'll think about what you said
