I decided to do an assisted hatch and with good instruction. Chick was positioned with feet over head. I'm attaching a link to a video of its breathing. It sounds awful. If it wasn't for me talking I think it would have already went to permanent sleep. It jumps up and peeps but soon lies down and does this.

I'm doing the link from my iPhone. Let me know if it is not working. I'm so sad.

The link works. I'm not sure if it got fluid in it's lungs or if it will with time be able to breath normally and be ok?

Do you have an update on the little one? It didn't sound like wheezing to me. It looked like it was trying to exercise its lungs to get them working properly. Did it survive?

The chick recovered and is doing fantastic! One of the most vigorous out of the bunch!
