I'm amazed and appalled by the cruelty and hatefulness in these posts. I have over 200 expensive chickens on my farm as well as my own domestic cats and a number of neighborhood ferals. They have never bothered the birds in any way, but then young chicks are securely penned at all times. Cats are, in my opinion, intelligent & wonderful pets who bring a great deal of joy to many people including me. The cats are not to blame for being feral or running lose - the owners (if there are any)are responsible and need to bear the blame. These are innocent creatures folks, just trying to survive. We've had starving ferals come to our place & they never bothered any of the chickens. I suggest you contact an organization that helps feral cats, such as Alley Cat & see if they have someone in your area who will come and trap the cats & relocate. If one or some of the cats belong to your neighbor(s), be civilized & go over and talk to them about the problem.
