Hey guys, I got some chicks about a week ago. i'd say they're about 2-3 weeks old right now, and i want to enter them in the Orange County Fair in the beginning of August.
Will it be okay (and safe) for me to bring them and show them there, as they'll only be about 2-3 months old? I believe that qualifies them as pullets, but i don't know if it's a good idea to expose them to new chickens and who knows what at this age.

Would you guys say it's okay to show the little guys then? I have to sign up tonight, but i just don't know!

That is pretty young. I would say, from experience, that they need to be at least 5 months old, even older if they are slower developing breeds.

That's way too young. They won't even be recognized as their breed at that age. You didn't say what breed they were, but even the quickest growers are too young to tell anything at 3 months. Plus the stress factor, and all the bugs and illnesses they can pick up from other birds there. You feed them, so ultimately it's your decision, but I voted a big NO!
