My birds have never had bumblefoot up on wire!I never said "up on wire".. that could cause bumble foot. I see no reason why you cant just build up and out with plywood for the floor of the run, instead of grass.

Try it, see for yourself. Been there , done that LOL.I would see how constantly having a chicken on wire would cause bumblefoot, or at least discomfort.
Dig a trench. Start out by digging a small hole all around where the water is entering. (This might have to be all around your property depending.) You're looking to create a river. Then draft it out of your yard or into a homemade pond. I talked to someone awhile back who had a similar issue. He made a river and had it flow right through his bird's yard so his ducks could play in it and his chickens could drink from it.I live in Texas and my yard is the lowest yard in the neighborhood, So when it rains (even if very little) everyone’s water comes into our yard. And my mother said I could get chickens but the only thing holding my dad back from saying yes is our yard floods so easily. anyone have any ideas?
Yeah I agree! After my chooks have exhausted their laying capacity I'm planning to get ducks. They're much hardier - less susceptible to diseases, can withstand harsher temperature fluctuations, eggs are larger, tastier and more nutritious, drakes are quieter than roos, and adorable. The only major issue I've read is their poo which apparently can be horrendously smelly, wet and mushy, and constant - ducks poop like there's no tomorrow. As you already have a natural waterway for them just let the floodwaters wash away their poo! Or just get out a ton of buckets during the flood and scoop all that nutritious goop for your plants!Forget chickens and get ducks.
