Can I store forage for winter?

Have you grown sprouts in winter? Alfalfa, wheat grass, lentils, mung bean, etc. Easy enough to find in bulk, although if you've got your own field, can you harvest the alfalfa seeds then grow them indoors?

I was just thinking about doing this this winter. They sprout really quickly.

I can just soak regular hay, right?

Do not soak the hay, just feed it dry. Soaking it will cause it to mold faster.

Alfalfa and Timothy hay is great. I toss a flack out to my Chickens too. In reality it more a boredom buster being cooped up and cold. I hide wild birdseed mix inside the flake. Feed and consistency of unfrozen water is all they need..
