Can I take it out yet??

I think trying to move the entire bator is way more risky then slipping a hand in quick through a crack if you do it fast and only open enough to get the chick out. When I do it my humidity doesnt even change.

I am going to try the carton method this time for the first time and see if I decide then to leave the chicks in longer.

That's a good point. It's pretty safe for me because the eggs are in cut down cartons and I put rubber shelf liner over the wire, but if you have a bunch of eggs that are just loose and rolling around it could be a tragedy in the making.
