Can I take the heat lamp out?

I have had my chicks outside for a few weeks now with a heat lamp on at night. Its starting to warm up now and the low temps are around 50 or so. Can I take the lamp out?

If they're fully feathered, and their shelter is tight and snug, I'd say they'll do fine if it's staying at least in the 50s at night. Make sure there is lots of bedding for them to snuggle down into.

I'd notice if they are huddled under the light at night or are they pressed up against the furthest wall (away from the light) of the brooder. If they have room to self regulate I would leave it on a few more weeks.
