Can I tell which hen laid the first egg?

My daughters want to know which of their girls laid the first egg that we got two days ago. We got another egg this morning and I'm assuming it's from the same hen. Is there anyway to look at the vents and tell which chicken actually laid the eggs?

I looked at several of the hens and all their vents looked the same... kinda moist, plumpy and roundish.

The pullet that is laying will have a vent that looks a little larger, pinker, and more moist than the other pullets. Her comb and face may be darker red, too. But if they are all the same age and the others are getting ready to lay it may be difficult to tell.

Congratulations on your first eggs.

My BR was really proud about her first egg.

They seem to act older and are really happy.
Their feet get paler and comb darker.
And sometimes there is no shell.
But if there is it can be really thin.
I hope you find my info useful.
