So, random question, can I train my rooster to crow on command??

Because, my fair has a rooster crowing competition, and me and my mom really wanna win, but in order to do so, we need to train him.

I’m just wondering if anyone else has done this, or has any experience on training chickens to perform specific behaviors??

Never heard of it ( don't really think you can ) but I guess you can try! Good luck! Maybe by making a noise or a movement will make him see and be like, " ok, It's time! " Like a command that he'll understand? There's video's I think so try and check those out! :wee

My boy likes to crow back at my neighbors roo. Maybe fire up some youtube video of roosters crowing and see if he crows back?
That’s a good idea actually, I’ll see if it works!!! Thank you!!

I've never heard of having a rooster crow on command or having a competition for one. My roosters just crow throughout the day whenever they feel the need to.

I think crowing contests (in the US) are just how many times a rooster crows in a given period of time. But I could be wrong.
From my understanding, the competition is to see who’s rooster has the best crow, but I could be wrong, I’ve never done this before

In other countries yes, I was under the impression in the US it is just the quantity not quality. But Like I said, this is not my area of expertise.
