can I use a rabbit water bottle for hens?

I am adding 2 new hens to my flock tonight. I am thinking keeping them in a dog crate for a few weeks but trying to figure out the feeding/watering. I can put a bowl of food in but the water is a bigger problem. I have spare bunny waterers around. Would that be adequate? Need to figure out a nest box for the crate as well if anyone has an idea.

Yes, hens can use rabbit water bottles. You could use a milk crate for a nest box with hay in it. Good luck with your chickens.

I don't have any experience with this but my guess would be yes. If they know how to use something like a nipple waterer then they should catch on pretty quickly.
