Can I use antiseptic spray?

My two week old duck has a pretty bad looking cut on the back of his neck. I can't tell for sure but I think its infected. Can I use an Antiseptic medicated spray? The active ingredient is chlorhexidine diacetate. I have some Triple antibiotic cream that I was also thinking about using, but want to see some suggestions first. Is there anything else that would work better?

Neosporin is safe to use on all poultry. It will help keep it from getting infected and help it heal faster.

Flush with a 50/50 betadine and water mixture, then apply your triple antibiotic.

I just had a chicken emergency and bought a spray bottle of colloidal silver that was recommended by the local feed store owner who has owns chickens. It is easy to apply. He said to apply it two or three times a day. Also neosporin ointment or cream (without topical lidocaine) is safe to use.
