Can I use grit for finches for my chicks?

i couldn’t find chick grit so I got grit for finches. It has charcoal and anise oil in it. Will this work for my chicks?
 
How old are your chicks? I didn’t start mine on grit until around 2-3 weeks and even then limited it bc one of them kept thinking it was food and gorging on it. If they’re on chick starter with NO treats yet you could delay giving until you find chick grit. I’m sorry I do not know if the grit for finches would work bc I’m a newbie.

Not that I know of. There was a little scratch in the feeder but I think momma probably gobbled that. I did put a little of the grit down on the ground because momma is teaching them how to scratch.

Read on here somewhere that the grit I got was okay.
