My hen has recently gone broody and I'd like to get a few fertilized eggs for her to sit on. We are looking for some guinea fowl and I'm wondering if she would successfully hatch and raise guinea chicks. Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm a newbie so any suggestions are appreciated.

I've seen broody hens hatch just about everything except for aligators lol. There are several people on here that hatch guineas and ducks with their trust hens. Good luck to you.

From what I understand, broody hens don't really care what hatches from under them. They don't keep count of the number of eggs they lay, the size, the color.... they don't care how long they've been setting on eggs; if you let her sit the full 21 days or take hatch-day eggs under her and they hatch the same day as she sits down.... they are just like yay babies! So I don't see why not!
