Is toilet paper fine too? I heard that the tissues contain chemicals which would be harmful. She eats wet mash food so don't want it to get rotten.

Better safe than sorry ig.

^^^ that.

Or just a hose under high pressure.

They walk around in their poop, bathe in the dirt, eat bugs, unwashed veggies, and sometimes tiny rocks they find on the ground. Its not exactly hospital levels of sanitation they require to be healthy.

Fresh food, clean water. A safe place to sleep. That's about it.

Just have a single hen so I baby her a lot lol. After cleaning her metal bowls, I just wash it with a towel instead of airdrying. She eats a wet mash food so I don't want it to get rotten.

Just wondering if it'd be OK to use tissues instead.

OK< yes. Unnecessary, also yes. I would avoid anyhtring likely to tear apart (tissues, tp), but the sanitary wibes that come in the plastic tubes are just fine - they hold together well, and the surface has some mildly abbrassive character from the way they are "woven" together.

I use white vinegar and a rag on water dishes when they start to get slimy. Dry food dishes will just get shaken out (I might wipe with a dry rag, but haven't yet), wet/mash food dishes go in the dishwasher.

I'm mostly just worried that her food will get spoilt as she eats her food wet. So I clean it often.
