I did a search and came up with nothing so I decided to post this question. Is it possible? His mate died last summer and he's been chasing my hens around the yard. In the past few days I've noticed him biting at the hens, chasing them around, and being protective of them against anyone but me. He's also fixated on me. It was cute at first, but now I'm a bit creeped out.

Welcome to spring LOL! No, it's not possible for a duck to successfully fertilize a chicken egg. The DNA is just all wrong. Maybe you should get your drake a few female ducks?

Ok I didn't think so, but I needed to be sure my girls weren't going to start having duckens.

It's bad enough that they have to put up with his horny behavior. I'm not sure if I really want to keep him.
