CAN MY BBW TURKEYS GET THEIR WEIGHT UPTO NORMAL AFTER A QUITE SLOW GAIN?

Meat = protein
The faster a bird should produce meat, the more protein intake is required.
We start with 27,5% protein (the first 4 weeks) and then switch to 23,5% till week 12. After that, they will get 18% protein till they are ready for processing.

Started my bbw turkeys on 22.5% Koudijs Broiler Starter and complemented it with some fish powder each day when giving them food. At 9 weeks they weighted 7.72lbs, but was supposed to be 12-14lbs at that time per the chart I measured against. I weighed them last Tuesday at 13 weeks exactly and they scored 13.89lbs, but should have been 22-24lbs. I must admit I haven't given them the best of feed since their Broiler Stater finished because I was trying to experiment my knowledge of mixing my own feed for them and their room always had widespread wetspots all through and I thought to myself it's because of the feed experimental. Now after having suffered a weight gain delay how can I get their weight back up to normal it should be? I really need them to be around 55-60lbs at week 30. What can I do about this since I still want home made feed remedy? Really grateful for all the support. Thanks!
Put them on 28% and food in front of them 24/7 with light at night, they will put on weight fast. But being so small at 13 weeks will make it difficult to get upto 60ish lbs in the next 17 weeks. but it is possible! I have fed broad breasted whites 28% from hatch to butcher 24/7 with no issues. at 26 weeks I've had toms dress out in the 55-60 lb range, and hens 40+
Don't increase the corn intake, it's low in protein around 7% I believe. Your birds will need high protein NOT high fat if you want a good meal for Christmas.

Much appreciation, man!

Exactly like I thought! But, wow! You fed them 28% feed to slaughter and they had no problems!? I am amazed as some mention heart and vascular issues as well as those of joints. Thanks so much for this info! Will be willing to put that into practice with. My next flock is going Gamebird Starter till slaughter LOL! Your butcher weight was a damn staggering one, I must admit. Assuming 55lbs as your tom dress out weight then I think their live weight would have been 67lbs. 😁I appreciate you, man! 😊💯👏
