I have a male Cochin and a female Sex Link. My question is can they produce off spring together?

They most certainly can. Of course their offspring will not be purebred.

Yes, they are both chickens so they can produce mixed offspring.Just like different dog breeds can mate and produce mutts.

Thank you! I didn't think she was going to start laying eggs until spring but she decided to start brooding in mid winter... go figure. Sitting on 16 eggs! Proud mama! (this is our first). I just wanted to make sure she isn't doing this all for not.

They can definitely breed. The offspring just be barnyard mutts. They should be decent layers, but will not be the egg laying machines that sex link hens are.
