It's been a year since I got chickens, and they mean everything to me. Can they get COVID? Yes or no! I would like to know, so I can keep my chickens safe!

I wouldn't rule it out. Dogs and cats can get it. Use good general biosecurity measures and you can stop worrying so much. Wash your hands before you enter the coop, wear a mask if you feel you want to, don't cough all over them etc.

its a different type of covid that dogs and cats get
Not so. Read this (updated March 2021):

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/animals.html

Although cats and dogs can get it, the current research says chickens aren't affected. Though they also say not enough is known generally about animal/human transmission and more research is needed.

OP I really wouldn't worry too much. Take appropriate hygiene measures if it makes you feel better, but it seems either no or a very low risk.
