Can my chickens stand the heat

Here is an example of how they look in the heat you can see how hard it is and all the ice bottles scattered about, they will sit by the ice or stand on them... you'll see how pale Dina is in the start of the video, she is still doing well and only looks like that in the hottest part of summer


 
They're great breeds for heat. I'm in South East Texas where the humidity and heat are high as headed in summer.
We have Barred and Rhodes as well. They do just fine.
Make sure there's air flow, we installed a small industrial fan in top back corner of coop just to keep air moving.
During high heat days I make chicken I've cream for them. Lol
I dice sweet veggies and fruit into water and freeze into "peck block" that I then set out under the fan flow. Cools the air and the birds!
We also put a small wadding pool in the run under shade trees that they love to play in from time to time.
We save all the wood at possible in winter and put that out as well.
They're tough birds and usually nap in shady areas in heat of day.
I won't let anyone in our coop between 1pm and 5pm so they are undisturbed and rest quietly.
Watermelon is a great treat as well. Keeps them hydrated when humidity gets high here and the last thing they want to do is drink.

My goodness, get some Dominiques and save yourself a heap of worry. They handle heat or cold extremely well and you'll save on food. Doms are a bit smarter than your average bird too so you won't have to worry nearly as much .:)

Trees are the best but the shade cloth can make a REAL difference. There are different densities. I got the deepest density and then doubled it.

When you attach it to your roof overhang it's important to elevate the other side. If you leave it hanging it will cut the breezes which are equally important. But if you raise it with uprights or lash it to some structure you get both the shade and the airflow.

That's what you're going for!

I live in a really hot climate too and as long as you provide properly they'll be fine. When it gets really hot, sometimes I'll spray down an area of bare dirt and they like to dust bathe in it.
 
I have Americana’s, Astralorps and Buff Orpingtons we are about 7 degrees cooler than Phoenix and all my girls have been fine even in 110 temps. Provide lots of shade and fresh water and any breed should do fine. My SIL in Mesa raises all breeds with no heat issues.

What you should do is get a breed that can tolerate the conditions they will have to survive in, rather than get a breed you like the look of and hope they make it.
There are lots of chicken breeds in the world, not just the favored half a dozen dual purpose fowl most commonly mentioned on BYC.
