Can my chicks be moved into there coop permanently?

Hi, my chicks are exactly 5 weeks and are getting to big for there brooder. they are jumping out of there brooder and even there run like it is a piece of cake for them. The weather is pretty good and the low tonight is 61° is it okay if they go out overnight today? Thanks!

Absolutely. They'll do so much better outside.

If they are fully feathered, then they can go out.

In those temp at 5 weeks, they don't need to be fully feathered. They are good to go.

Do you still have the heat on in the brooder? If so you may still need to wean them off the heat at night. Otherwise they should be good to go outside.

It is a chick brooder that they can go under it is not a heat lamp. and they choose to sleep away from it and it is not that hot. so do you think they will be OK if I don’t wean them off The heat? they are pretty much fully feathered. here are some pictures of them.

My girls first night in the coop! I just had to share these adorable pictures! And don’t worry we are replacing that terrible roost!
