can my geese be in 70 degrees weather

update: the geese and the chickens are as far away from the heat lamp as they can be. if i get no response in an hour im shutting it off.

if a brooder is not large enough to have a true cool side and warm side they spend their time as far away from the light as they can get. I dont reccomend older chicks with young chicks or waterfowl, much different needs between the species and ages both. Good luck with the babies, like chickens if you watch their behavior you wilk know if they are too cold or too hot. Word of caution though, goslings dont tend to yell like chicks when they are too cold.

Now I read somewhere that it is not good to put peachciks or phesants chick with ducks or geese. Now would that be the same with chicks?? Just courius?
That when you put the geese or ducks with them they can get diseases from the duckling and goslings.

goslings shouldnt yell constantly, they should be a very quiet brooder baby.

Barb, chicks do OK with waterfowl, except for the wetness ducks and geese like to create and chicks dont much care for.
