Can my shed go directly on the ground?

I have a resin shed that I will be converting into a coop. Can I build it directly on the ground or should I put something under it for a foundation.

Flooding is not a problem, the area is slightly angled (but even).

Do you get snow? Would the melt-off run into your coop and get everything wet? We do, and it would, so we raised our coop off the ground, but only by 8 inches. Enough to keep it dry.

Yes the floor itself is resin.

I guess that answers my question!

You should stll raise it. Home improvement stores sell concrete pavers which are only 1 to 1 1/2 inch thick.

All of my stuff here is on pavers or blocks. Here anyway if it is on the ground or slab it can raise property taxes (not the value of) as it would be considered a permanant structure.

I would raise it too,for all the above reasons and I think its easier to keep them warm if its not right on the ground.
