Can New and Old share a roosting spot?

We brought home a peahen and her chick 5 weeks ago and kept them penned in our peacock area. We finally let them out on Sunday and after 2 nights away they came back! We have 2 other peacocks who free roam all summer but during rain and winter months they also like to go in the barn area for shelter. Today was a big rainstorm and the peacocks went in during the rain and hen and chick came out. Do you think she felt threatened by them being in her “home?” We were hoping that all could shelter in there together this winter. I hope she doesn’t feel kicked out? Do peafowl generally get along even if they haven’t known each other or will they feel territorial about the shelter barn area?

Only during breeding season do they not get along. They just need to establish the pecking order.

Thank you! That is what I thought and the reason we brought them home in August- after this years breeding season. Hoping everyone gets comfortable with each other by next years season. Appreciate all of your advice and help!!
