Can pale yellow BLRW chicks just end up as white hens?

Thank you, very helpful information. I think my chicks are mostly very light splash with no / white lacing. Even my darker chicks are grey, not the sort of chipmunk brown that the photos show in the article dedicated to this breed. I really wanted a mahogany colored hen but I dont think I'm destined for that with this clutch. Once more a very expensive bunch of shipped eggs without the payoff.

They will develop that with feathering and age. You can't judge much from chick fluff.
