Solved Can people stop responding to 10 year old threads?

Something I've noticed on this site is how frequently people (especially new members) resurrect ancient threads and ask OP questions. It really messes up the flow of the website, because I'll see an emergency thread pop up, go to answer it and see a time-stamp from like 2007 or something. It also provides outdated information for people arriving to the site. Is there any way we can fix this or have something implemented to stop people replying to such old threads?

There should be like an automatic thread locking thing for threads over certain years old. I totally agree, I think I see it WAY more with the similar threads icon.

it is probably an accident. When I first joined I did it twice,Lol. Good idea bringing it up. It might help stop people from doing this on accident.

Nothing really wrong with it if it's just inquiring about information stated on the thread. Poultry care hasn't changed in the last 10 years so it shouldn't really matter.
I do know where you're coming from though.

Its definitely an accident, I did it a few times to lol! I think its good to remind everyone though. I wish there was a setting were you could adjust. Like a "newer then" setting for the similar threads section.

I do agree, but I don't think people should be allowed to continue commenting on the post. Leaving it as an archive is good though!
