I have a semi new rooster due to mine got killed by a cat not to long ago.....I have 6 hen he watches over..the new rooster seems much more aggressive then my last one...he does his job but the hens seems to be moving out of the coop looking for other places not to only lay there eggs but to sleep also..( my chicken are free roaming). But have a new nice coop if they want...they slept there with the old rooster....iv noticed eggs aren't being laid could this be due to the rooster....also the rooster attacts me every day.....no one else just me....he's an orphan and has been transfered to a couple new homes..I fill bad but if no one's happy I'll have to do the same...any ideas?? I'll try anything

Yes, the rooster is a problem to you and the hens. Some roosters, like your other one, get along harmoniously with the hens, but occasionally there's a roo that has behavior issues, and he will upset and stress the hens. If he attacks you, it's further evidence that this is a rooster with serious problems.

You can try training and discipline, but it requires commitment, consistency and time, but I doubt he can be trained to be nice to the hens. That is usually genetic.
