Can silkies see well with all those head crown feathers? Should I trim?

Hi, raising as backyard pets, not for show. My 2 hens have big, fluffy head crown feathers and one has a huge feather bonnet and sometimes shakes her head like a girl clearing bangs out of her eyes. I studied her but not prone to any wry neck or other symptoms, just when she is pecking for bugs free ranging. Should I gently trim so she has more peripheral vision?

I raised Black Silkies and never trimmed their crests and the Silkies never had any problems. That being said, you can trim their crests without harm and some owners do. Some even raise the feathers out of their eyes by using hair ties on their crests. Hope this helps.
