Can slug pellets kill chickens

My mum put out slug killer and my chicvken has been pecking at it as it is free range - wont go back in it pen because our rooster bullies it :S

Will the slug pellets kill the chicken...

Read the container. Depends upon the slug killer, but most are toxic to other animals.
