Chickens are lot smarter than most people think! They can figure out problems very fast and learn from them. I've learned a lot from them.

I taught Middle School in the ghetto for 12 years. Using the grading standards we were forced to use, my chickens would have been honor roll students.:cd

I have taught in the US, Japan, Korea and China.
Given ample time and a few dollars in bribes and I think one of my chickens will be going to Harvard.

Gambit, my chickens love the net also.

My favorite also is "They are as smart as they need to be."

Intelligence really depends on the enviroment as much as the genes.

My birds still remembered me after I was gone for 4 months.
A couple came running up circled me and squatted just like old times (my ex-wife would tease me that at least I was only cheating on her with the chickens)
The broodys still let me under them without a second thought to check the eggs and will peck the crap out of anything and anyone else who gets close.
So they are pretty darn smart little guys.

I dont think the neighbors kids remember me, but they always seemed a little more dull than our chickens anyway.
