Can someone answer my questions about SLW and Silv.Penciled Rocks

Thanks Sonoran, the birds I was refering to are in my post title, Silver Laced Wyandottes and Silver Penciled Rocks. I don`t have either breed, I was just curious of how breeding either breed to a lavender would look. My assumption was it would generally look like the Coronation sussex to some extent. Lavender over white. Black penciling and or lacing replaced by lavender. I think it would look pretty cool.
Kind of like this one, though she looks more blue than lavender, NOT my bird BTW.

Tony, you can get all the info you want with the chicken calculator. Just take the time to read the links on the calculator, and it will pretty much tell you everything you need to know.

Just a FWIW, I often don't read threads titled with breeds I don't raise or have a particular interest in. But I read almost all threads that seem to be about the genetics of a variety or crossing. You might want to think about using a title that will attract the audience you need for the most knowledgeable answers.

Ther's nothing wrong with your title, it's just that if you're wanting breed specific information, listing the breed is useful at drawing in people knowledgeable or interested in the breed; if you're wanting variety information, listing that is helpful for drawing in people interested in a specific variety or in the genes that create the different varieties.

You listed both, so I pretty much ignored it as being mostly breed specific informations about breeds I don't know a lot about. When it was still showing up with new posts several days later I thought--hmmm, let's see if there is anything interesting. And there is

I guess I would have titled it as something like "Silver Laced or Penciled Question" or "Silver Laced/Penciled plus Lavender Question."

It just seemed like you went longer without getting answers than you might have with a title that closer matched your real questions.
