Got these chicks almost 2.5 weeks ago as pullet leghorns from TSC. After reading others posts (about breed mixups these) and seeing their development (size) I figured I should see if anyone can confirm that they’re leghorns.

The 1st pic was from day 10 (of us getting them)

pics 2/3 are from day 16.

Pic 4 is from day 6

(Not sure how old they were when we got them) pics 5/6 are from the day we brought them home.

I appreciate any insight. Thanks in addsnce 😊

I don‘t have a reason to believe not. They seem pure. Genders, idk.

I'd say they are White Leghorns. And with that much comb at just 16 days don't be surprised if they are cockerels. Update with new pics in another 2 weeks.

Yeah I was afraid they might be. But my understanding is leghorns have larger combs (if they start turning red soon then I’ll be more concerned)

Their tail feathers point differently (1 more up like a hen’s would and the other more straight out like a cockerel would). Time will tell on the sex.

They’re sweet chicks though 😊

Yes they are white leghorns this is my white leghorn pullets they are 16wks and the last 2 pic's are of my white leghorn that passed last yr

Yes they do have larger combs. It’s easy to tell if you have one of each gender, harder if they’re both the same. If they’re both pullets you’ll be questioning if theyre both cockerels, but look for redness early. If you have one of each the differences will be very apparent within the next 2 weeks.
