Can someone explain broody behavior???

Because she's a pretty lil chick!!! Also for eggs. I originally wanted a buff Ameraucana or buff brahma.... but this time of year I was VERY limited! I'm glad I got her though.... she's usually so sweet.

That's not a really a fair question now is it? There are plenty more reasons why to get BO's, they are friendly, great egg layers, winter hardy, good eating (if that's what you are into) and pretty to look at. When I got my hens, I researched carefully a breed that would be suitable to my family and I and I think they have been perfect in every way. Except for Mrs. Cuddlesworth who is currently broody and sitting on some fertile eggs as we speak. I guess my point is, all breeds have their good and bad points, who really has the "perfect" chicken for them. Nothing is perfect, there are always drawbacks - right?
