I've read a lot of good things about feeding fermented feed to layer birds. And I'd love to switch all my chickens to fermented feed. But I can't seem to get a grasp on how to do it. I use a mobile app to get on here and its really hard to navigate BYC. So if someone could please break down the process or provide me with a couple links, I'd really apperciate it! Thank you

Here's a quick how-to:

Once you get started, it's very simple. Since I feed in the AM & PM, I use two separate buckets for the fermenting process.
I use a Dollar Tree strainer (thin lines instead of holes), and pour the fermented feed into the strainer which is sitting on a smaller bucket from TSC. After I feed the chickens, I add dry feed to the bucket with the leftover liquid. I rinse all my containers used for straining, etc, and add that water to the bucket.
So, I basically add new feed to a bucket in the AM & PM, after feeding them the grain that's been fermenting for abt 24 hrs. They love it, and chow it down like it's a "treat". I also added ACV w/ the mother when getting started, and whenever I remember.
