Can someone help identify the breed, please?

Hello, I am hoping someone can help me. I am new to chickens and this forum, so please pardon my lack of knowledge on this. I acquired this fellow a couple days ago. He was abandoned in the forest. My daughter brought him home from her work. I currently have him in a dog kennel until I can get a proper coop and set up. My wife has helped care for chickens in the past, but we have never owned any. I am hoping to learn what breed this guy is and try to give him a proper home and get him a few hens. He seems very docile and friendly. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you to all of you involved in this forum. Hope you have a wonderful and blessed day.

Yes, he's a Silver Laced Wyandotte. Handsome boy! I'm sure he'll love to have some ladies of his own.
Also, just to let you know he is younger, only a few months old. Someone probably dumped him because he ended up being a male and they didn't want/need him.

Thank you for taking the time to get back to me and for the added information. I wasn't sure how old he was, but what you posted makes sense. I think my next step is trying to figure out the best way to introduce some ladies, either wait on chicks or find some mature birds if I can. Thank you again for taking the time to reply.

Glad I could help!
I would try looking for older birds first, so he can have some company sooner. If you raised chicks he would be alone for quite awhile before you could start introducing.
