Can someone help me identify this duck?

I got these ducks when they were just a few days old from my local feed and farm supply. I know the one in the background is a blue runner. The brown one I have no idea. It was a all black duckling and the person helping me couldn't tell me what kind it was because she didn't know. I know its not a mallard because it was much bigger than a mallard duckling when I got them. They are a few months old now.

Looks like it may be a Rouen. Hard to say if male or female as they all color out the same at first. It has a male look to me but who knows. Nice looking duck though.

It doesn't really quack either. It sounds like it wheezes. The blue runner is loud and quacks constantly. I read somewhere that if they are loud they are female so I am wondering if the brown one is male.

That would be my guess. A Rouen drake.

Thanks guys. I will keep an eye on it (dingus) for the next few weeks. I'm pretty sure my runner is female, so I'm wondering if they will breed next year. Yikes.

Here are some updated photos of my Rouen. Really starting to look like a male. Now I'm just wondering what they babies might look like.
