Can someone help me sex my barred rock babies....

I have 4 babies (barred rocks) I bought them from tractor supply and i dont know exactly how to tell them from roos or hen's.. can someone please help me ...

Yes .... I thought that #1 was a roo #2 is a hen #3 hen and #4 hen but I dont know so that's why I had asked ... ty for helping..

the barring on roos ( cockrels actually, before some one decides to be nit picky) is always stronger than the girls barring, the combs looks like 1 st could be a roo but I'm unsure, girl, girl, and boy.

Ty ... I'm guessing I'm just going to have to wait ... I'm trying to sex all 20 of my chicks and they are 5 different breeds ... I'm pulling my hair out lol

I agree that #2 looks like a cockerel based on the amount of white barring. Give it another couple of weeks and it should become clearer!

Typically you should wait until they're 6-8 weeks. BRs can be sexed earlier when they develop their feathers, if the boys make it obvious in their barring. I've noticed that hatchery birds are getting harder and harder to tell.
