Can someone identify this hen?

Hi there BYC.

I've had this hen for the past 6-7 years and still have no idea what breed it is, Would anybody have a clue of what breed it is?




She had been a lone hen for a while, I decided to purchase two brown shavers pullets to keep her company ,

I didn't pick these brown shavers up personally, So I only know they're around 20 weeks old or possibly a bit older, I heard they should start laying soon? Do they require some sort of nesting box?

Ah I thought so, What threw me off was that she only has 4 toes unfortunately and her legs have feathers but not as much as I've seen in other silkies ;/

She may be a Silkie mix if she has only 4 toes....I agree she has Silkie in her.

Not all silkies have five toes, the ones that don't would not be offered for show or breeding but, they could still be pure silkies.

I agree she's just a not-show-quality silkie.

My buff silkie hen is called Niner--nine toes altogether
