We are new to hatching chicks and had our first five eggs hatch about 3 months ago. I am thinking we may have 4 roosters and 1 hen but would like someone else's opinion. One is smaller with no comb development. It is also much more timid than the other 4. The larger 4 are all developing combs and longer feathers. The first pic is of our suspected hen. The second we think may be one of the roosters and the third pic is of the two together

In the first photo the one in front is a rooster and the one behind is a hen, middle picture is a hen and the bottom one is a rooster.

X2 on oldhenlikesdogs' post. At 3 months, you can easily tell the cockerels from the pullets by the cockerels much larger and redder combs and wattles.
