can someone please help?

If she's facing you, her crop side is your left. Feel for the bump on the front from her crop to be sure. Your left side if she's looking at you.

I have to agree with dawg53, use the product that your vet gave you.
Baytril is a far better product than Tylan for respiratory problems, I just wounder why your vet didn't give you Baytril in the pill from.
I have always ordered mine through my suppler in the pill form (250mg).

Tylan is less effective than baytril, and is known for its bad taste. How much baytril is the dose, and how often? It can be mixed in the drinking water, and they will do just fine, but you need to verify that with the vet as he is the one who prescribed a certain dose of medicine for her. Also, baytril is available as pills, which may be easier to give her.

Thank You all so much for your help and advice. When I got home from work her voice sounded much better. I bought the tylan 50 but will stick with the baytril. As for which way the crop is duhh how could I be so dumb ? It would be where it is on her breast. Just showes you what happens to the brain when panic sets in. Again Thank You all so much!

It is ILLEGAL to use Baytril in poultry!!!!!
You can never legally sell the eggs or meat from this chicken. I wish the vets would get this message from the feds. It is big bad illegal because of antibiotic-resistant bacteria getting in to the human food chain. Please educate your vet about this.

It is illegal to give flock-wide or preventative treatment with baytril. It is NOT illegal to treat individual birds. I am quite sure that vets are FAR more educated about the legalities that could cost them their license than are most consumers. I do not believe your statement about EVER selling eggs or meat is accurate, but don't intend to spend the time researching it for a definitive answer.

Many poultry keepers do not sell meat or eggs.

My vet was VERY clear that my roo could not be a part of the human food chain if he was to prescribe Baytril. He made me agree to this prior to making the medicine up, which he made into a sugary suspension.

I assume he knew I wouldn't eat a bird who was named and that I was in the process of running up a $300 tab on...but he was vigilant.

Actually, I am a vet, and have spoken to the avian experts about this. Don't use baytril if you want to avoid lawsuits, and trouble with the feds. Period.

Did your avian experts say weather or not it was illegal for just commercial poultry use or all poultry use?
I believe the reason for the band of baytril in poultry is do it being so similar to Ciprofloxacin (Cipro).

health.dailynewscentral :

Baytril, when given to chickens, kills some of the bacteria, but those that survive become resistant to antibiotics such as Cipro, the standard treatment for campylobacter. These drug-resistant strains can pass into people who eat undercooked chicken.
"We are disappointed by the action of the FDA because, in our view, Baytril is an important medication that is used sparingly and responsibly," said Richard Loeb of the National Chicken Council, a producers group in Washington DC.
