Can someone please tell.me if this is a quail

Looking at more pictures from google, the eye and beak does seem to have certain similarities with the true button quail. And it seems some of those lack chest markings like that one, though I didn't find any that looked exactly like it..

Thanks people. It's crazy not being able to identify such a common bird. They are just everywhere. I've been looking up brown quail and it seems to match..mostly. Maybe I'll have to wait till they get bigger, if they get bigger.
I have a bird book at home on Australian birds so I'll have a look at that when I get home.
The mystery remains unsolved.

I don't think it's a brown quail. All the pictures of brown quail I've found, show birds with chest markings, much darker eye color than what your pics show and a more 'elegant' beak.

This looks like the second one I caught. But I found a page on native quails of wa I just need to check the feet on them when I get home or if I get another one tonight.
