Hello and Welcome To BYC! She looks like she might be some sort of red sex link, a cross bred to lay a lot of brown eggs, they are sold by various names depending on what hatchery they come from, Red Star, Golden Comet etc.

Glad you could join the flock! I have to agree definatly a red sex link or as they are called here in the UK a warren. I started out my chicken adventure with two of these girls and they were excellent egg layers and a lovely bird to keep.

Yep, a RSL and you'll be glad to have her. We have 3 in our mixed flock and they are the best laying girls, plus, they have such fun personalities.

Looks just like my Red Sex Links I bought from Meyer a year ago. Mine are friendly. They run to the gate whenever I come out, hoping I have a treat. They love pizza. Eggs? I am overrun. I get about a dozen a day. I hand them out to my friends when I am not saving them to incubate.
